Usage
The Triple Bowline is used to form three fixed loops in the middle of a rope and can be tied without access to the ends. It is used in a self-equalizing anchor system.
Warning
Verify tying technique with a skilled instructor where knot failure could cause property damage, injury, or death.
History
Robert Chisnall, a forensic knot consultant and climbing and rescue expert from Ontario, Canada, is credited with devising the Triple Bowline in the 1980's. He is also one of the founding members of the International Guild of Knot Tyers (IGKT).
