History
The Davy Knot and Double Davy are attributed to Davy Wotton, a fly fishing pro from Wales who is now living in Arkansas. Davy invented the knot during a 1950's fly fishing competition when he was looking for a knot that could be tied very quickly.
Strength/Reliability
